But at the time, our family had not been cooking too frequently and lots of our diet was comprised of fast food and frozen meals.

This unfortunate incident left me feeling physically weak and emotional too. I felt angry at the person who had helped me sick, but simultaneously, I felt angry at myself. I knew which i had put my health into someone else’s hands; that it had been my option to live the way that I had been. Which is when my epiphany came. I told myself, “NO MORE”. Basically If I wanted to be in control of my health, I needed to be in command of what I ate. Which is when my healthy eating and active lifestyle began.
